Title: Modular Residue Designs: Fixed Points, Rotational Symmetry, and Circles

Abstract: Although modular residue designs began as recreational mathematics, with beautiful designs and patterns, freely accessible software like LaTeX and GeoGebra allow students to explore mathematics at many levels. They can recognize and describe patterns as well as test and prove conjectures while using a wide variety of mathematics. This talk will focus on an exploration and classification of designs with fixed points and rotational symmetry.
