Engaging Students Outside of the Classroom
Jeffrey Musyt, Slippery Rock University, and Kim Roth, Juniata College
Jeffrey and Kim will talk about the extracurricular offerings that they are involved with. These include math clubs, student research, learning assistant programs, and outreach events. They will discuss how they recruit students to participate and to take on leadership roles within these activities, how they sustain these offerings from year to year, the benefits that they see from these offerings, and how they've fared through COVID.
